Too Big To Fail

Today writing challenge comes from The Daily Post.  The question is:

Tell us about something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail (and tell us why you haven’t tried it yet).

I feel like this could be a number of things. I want to learn to ride a bike, but I'm worry at my age if I fail and fall. The injuries and recovery won't be pretty.  Honestly if I had to answer this question a couple of years ago. The list would be long but my attitude is different now.   I know there are a lot of things that I'm going to attempt and may not be successful the first time around.  It's part of life.  I might go into it cautiously, but it's not going to stop me from not trying it. Not doing something because you don't have a guarantee to not fail is a fail in itself.  So yes I will attempt to learn how to ride a bike. I will make sure I'm padded as much as possible.  It was such a great experience seeing my daughter learn to ride a bike. As much as I'm nervous about it. It won't stop me from giving me a chance.

Balance

Day 05: Something in life that gives you balance.

I would have to say my immediate family gives me balance. Being bless to have hubby and the kids in my life helps me focus on what's important. I feel like once you have an understanding that life is about being health, faith and making genuine memories with your family. Everything else falls into place.

Fake On

I have over the years tried to wear fake nails.  It never works out. It usually feels like I have something on my nails. I take them off in a day or so. I tried getting silk tips (I think that's the name of it).  After four days I took them off. I couldn't stand the same feeling of having something heavy on my nails.  I love doing my nails at home but it doesn't survive the wear and tear of everyday life.  I
usually see chips within the first week.  I wanted to try fake nails again for Mother's Day.  After spending way too much time looking at different  brands. I pick up Nailene So Natural. It has 24 nails with 12 different sizes. The company claim is that it's 3x  longer wear, more comfort and more natural. It's made with comfort flex technology. I have the short length square shape nails.

Reaction

So far I really like it. Only one or two nails I can feel. I think that is because I put too much glue. Other than that I don't feel them at all. It feels like my own nails.  It was easy to file.  I'm not sure if I can say it's looks more natural than other companies.  Also, I couldn't use the glue that came with it. The seal wasn't broken on the nail glue but it was still dry.  I had to buy another nail glue. The true test is if it can last at least 7 to 10 days.  It was $5.99 but because I had a store discount card it came up too $3.99. Overall it looks nice and I get a break from painting my nails. I would by this product again.

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. I just wanted to share my experience with artificial nails. This product was bought with my own money.

Routine

Day 04: Something that is part of your routine that you enjoy.

Something that is becoming part of my routine that I'm enjoying is my spiritual time in the morning.  I have had to make it  priority to have that time before the day gets crazy. I personally feel like it helps me be centered for whatever comes my way during the day.  I can feel the difference when I don't do it.
